THRIVING CANINES TRAINING PROGRAM

We are looking for owners who are 100% dedicated to putting in the required work to continue the
dogs success. Someone who will be willing to make the necessary lifestyle
adjustments and are completely comfortable with the tools we use. Your dog will have a much more
relaxed state of mind, a new lifestyle and will have improved obedience and manners.

What tools do we use?

We use a variety of tools but we mainly use the prong collar, e collar, place cot and the crate. All of
these tools help us teach your dog all of his/her skills and allow us to be clear with our communication.

Do we use corrections?

Absolutely! Corrections are information given to the dog. We correct the dog to motivate them not to
continue certain behavior just like we reward a dog to motivate it to continue behavior. A portion of our
training involves corrections.

Do we train with positive reinforcement?

Yes. We use positive reinforcement through play, movement, food, toys and praise. We also focus on
relationship building. These all increase wanted behavior.

What type of training do we use?

Permission based training! In our opinion the most highly effective training there is. This saves the dog
from making unwanted decisions on their own. It helps us guide the dog to make better and important
decisions.

Every moment of the day is completely structured from the time they wake up until they are in their
crates for bedtime at night.

How fast will your dog learn?

All dogs learn at different speeds even with the individualized approach we take. Each dog has
different behaviors and each behavior can affect every dog differently. No two dogs are the same. There is
never an end to training. It is up to you to continue training once your dog is home and continue to
maintain the behaviors we have taught and the improvements we have made.

What is involved in the training when your dog goes home.

A lot of rules! We provide you with a 30 day program and detailed information on how to proceed with
living with your dog successfully. It is very important that the lifestyle provided by us at training is
followed as closely as possible back home. This allows for an easier transition for yourself and your
dog.

Do we guarantee results?

Our programs includes many factors that aid in achieving the best results at home from daily
practice, health and age of the dog, along with learning our different methods of training. It is very
important for dogs with multiple owners to agree to stick to the rules and boundaries and training
techniques set at training. Unfortunately we do not go home with you after our Board and Train
Programs; therefore we are unable to make any guarantees or refunds under any circumstances.

Do we train power breeds?

Yes! Our program was built with the love and passion of power breeds, in particular Pitbulls and
American Bullies.

However we train any and ALL BREEDS OF DOGS.

Will my dog remember me after the Board and Train?

Yes, your dog will remember you.

How old does my dog have to be to start your puppy training program?

10 weeks is the minimum age and or house broken.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ?

If you are struggling with any behavior such as reactivity, anxiety, insecurity, any form of aggression
etc. you are in for a journey, even after professional training.

The success of all of these issues first comes from our training program- teaching the necessary skills,
and changing the state of mind of your dog. This does not mean that every dog will have a complete
state of mind change. It also doesn’t mean that every dog will be flawless with their obedience. Each
dog struggles with his or her own issues. Some are more intense than others and often unwanted
behaviors are a result of handlers/owners lack of leadership skills.

Changing a dogs behavior that has been rehearsed for many months or years, is not likely to completely
change in a couple of weeks, instead it will take our program plus a couple months of getting things
right back at home.

This means you will have to ask yourself if you’re 100 percent dedicated to the success of your dog and
yourself sticking to the training program, and the rules and boundaries. And not just you, every person
in the household or who comes into the house hold. When you or any family member take your dog out
all of the same apply. Everyone must be doing things the same way. For how long? It could take years
if the dog has deep issues.

If you have a dog with serious issues, please ask yourself if you are going to be able to take on this
task. Being consistent and following through with what your dog needs for a long period of time is not
easy for some but it is worth it.

Our many successful clients are the ones who follow up, ask questions, send training videos and stay in
touch with us. They are also the ones who are readily prepared to do
what it takes. This means time and lifestyle change is not a factor. They are consistent day in and day
out. They make the necessary lifestyle changes-not using the dogs for their own emotions, stopping
spoiling the dog, set rules specific to their dogs issues or follow rules we have put in place, not letting
the dog “just get away with it one time”- they have the dogs best interest in mind. For less serious cases
this process won’t be nearly as long. Remember we are here for you!

All in all, each dog is different; do not compare your dog to any other dog. Your dog is its own
individual with his or her own behaviors. Each dog will require more or less training depending on many
factors. Just be prepared and dedicated to do what it takes.
